Trent graduated from Curtin University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Software Engineering. An industry grade final year project garnered Trent and his team a finalist position in the WAITTA INCITE Awards and valuable experience to hit the ground running. Throughout his time at Curtin, he volunteered for both the Leavers Green Team and the fledgling Student Ambassador program.
Straight out of university, Trent was trained within the oil & gas industry, picking up qualifications including Licensed Radiographer & 3.4U Underwater Inspection Controller. He then moved on to a short stint at company that makes products for businesses such as Timezone; helping them modernize their product which included the addition of a custom business intelligence tool that customers we using to view real-time data and improve their businesses. Currently, Trent works as a Senior Consultant for one of the top five employers in Australia, helping to streamline and modernize their development processes.
Outside of his professional life, Trent enjoys being captain of the local floorball team and writing mobile apps for the Internet of Things (IoT). He hopes that his position as a member of the Young Alumni Board will help to bring a greater sense of community to young alumni and assist them in their transition into the workforce.
