Tessa is a recipient of the Richard Langham Memorial Scholarship.
“I started working in a pharmacy straight after graduating year 12, and I really admired the work that pharmacists do. Choosing to study pharmacy was a natural progression for me, and I aspire to become a pharmacist who can make a difference.
As the costs of higher education are ever increasing, the Richard Langham scholarship relieved the pressure of having to work more to cover the costs of living. With help from the scholarship funding, I was able to book time off my part-time job to go on an international placement in India and also a rural placement in Broome. The placement in India is one of my most memorable experiences, and I will cherish it forever.
I am about to start an internship in Queensland and hope to one day join the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia committee and pass my knowledge onto other students. I really hope to be part of a team of pharmacy professionals who are determined to improve the lives of people in our community.”
