Simone Yule

Relationship: Graduate, Young Alumni Advisory Board member

Simone graduated from Curtin University in 2010, with the BA (Mass Communication). Simone’s passion for the not-for-profit sector began seven years ago, when she took a position at Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.

For over four years Simone was Development Coordinator and Annual Giving Coordinator at Curtin, where she was responsible for managing the University’s annual appeal programs, coordinating the major gifts program, and developing a range of fundraising projects.

During her time, she implemented the inaugural staff giving program, which has raised over $500,000 to date for students and projects, and Curtin’s first crowdfunding campaign, and alumni annual appeal, which will begin in 2017.

Simone is now a Faculty Development Officer at UWA, and is responsible for securing major gifts for the Faculty of Science.

Simone is passionate about engaging the younger generation in philanthropy and empowering them to give back and make a difference to their communities.
