Curtin Autism Research Group

Relationship: Recipients

“Autism is one of the greatest disability challenges faced by our country, with a population prevalence of nearly one per cent of the population. There is much work to be done – both in terms of improving diagnosis and early intervention.

The Curtin Autism Research Group (CARG) develops interventions and services to improve support for teenagers, young adults and adults living with Autism. Research, guided by client needs and experiences, allows us to showcase the unique skills or individuals on the autism spectrum. We look at biomarkers and behavioural interventions to improve social skills and create more opportunities for clients, helping them communicate effectively, attend university and find employment.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like The Stan Perron Charitable Trust, we can continue empowering people with autism, ensuring they have the tools they need to achieve their goals.”
