Annika is a Curtin University alumna who holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Global) along with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with double majors in Finance and Management. She has also earned a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting in the pursuit of her CA/CPA Professional Accreditation.
She always has a great passion for entrepreneurship and helping others. While she has always been involved with various not-for-profit organisations, when she became part of St. John Ambulance as Ambulance Care Officer, her interests in health deepened.
During her pursuit of her MBA, she became the President of Curtin Volunteers! where she lead many student volunteer teams and engaged herself with various volunteering programs and projects to help local and rural communities in the areas of health, youth, culture, environment, remote and indigenous.
Her passion also inspired her to become a member of Curtin’s John Curtin Leadership Academy (JCLA) where she worked earnestly to prevent teenage suicides. Her commitments with JCLA also encouraged her to become the Vice President of JCLA Alumni Committee.
Before she completed her MBA, Annika was awarded a Demonstrated Exceptional Leadership Award by Curtin’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for her leadership. She was also a semi-finalist as part of the Western Australian Young Achiever Awards for her outstanding volunteering and community services.
Annika is now a social entrepreneur and advocate who is working with projects, programs and institutions across a few countries, including Australia, Myanmar and Africa, to address social issues with regards to health, hunger, homelessness and personal development.
