Having completed a bachelor degree, graduate diploma and master qualification, no one is more aware of the importance and value of education than Curtin University staff member, Ann. “I am the first in my family to get a tertiary education so I know from personal experience how important it is, and I wanted to support others to experience the same benefits,” she says.
Ann started contributing to the Give to Change program in 2013, making regular contributions to selected initiatives, such as the Staff-Funded Scholarship Fund. This fund provides fully-funded scholarships to students who might otherwise struggle to fund their studies through part-time work or family assistance. “I am conscious that I didn’t have to fund my studies to the same extent as today’s students, so I felt I should give back.”
