Inspired by the John Curtin Gallery’s current exhibition Brian Robinson: Tithuyil (moving with the rhythm of the stars), this workshop will be a mixture of demonstrations and experimentation. Artist Olivia Colja will take participants through the exhibition and then encourage them to use their imagination to create special worlds derived from The Sea and the Stars.
The children will have a chance to practice different techniques using textured papers before going on to complete a final print design. Using printing-form and pencil-etching, participants will print their own images onto paper.
This hands-on printing class, which is perfect for beginners, will cover all of the basics and will allow lots of time for experimentation. All of the materials will be provided on the day. Casual clothes are essential as it could get messy!
Dress: Wear old casual clothes, shoes and apron.
RSVP: By Monday 18 November 2019.
