Play-based learning appeals to children’s natural curiosity and desire to engage in experiences based on their interests, strengths and developing skills as they make sense of the world around them.

The conference will bring together experts in play and play-based learning for a rich and rewarding day of professional learning. Themes of discussion will include play in school settings, nature play, arts play, digital play and listening to children in meaningful ways about play.

This conference will benefit educators and leaders working in ECEC and Primary education.

Your conference convener is Dr Madeleine Dobson, Course Coordinator of Early Childhood Education at Curtin University.

Through this conference you will gain:

  • a better understanding of play-based learning
  • experiences to develop approaches to play-based education for your personal teaching context
  • network opportunities with your peers and knowledge experts in this area
  • a certificate of professional learning.
